LA Marathon

As thousands prepared to take on the LA Marathon, Nike asked The Bench to help execute a series of key moments to support runners across race weekend. From the first shakeout mile to the post-race celebration, we mapped out an experience built around both energy and community. Here’s what it included: 

Shakeout Run: We provided ground game support for a pre-race shakeout run to help runners to loosen up and get into the zone.

Product Seeding: Leading up to race day, we drove a fully wrapped Nike sprinter van all over LA to deliver surprise product drops of Nike Pegasus running shoes. 

Course Branding: We also led the creative and production of 15-18 massive Nike-branded billboardsplaced strategically along the course – each with motivational messaging designed to keep runners moving.

Recovery Hub Design: Finally, we transformed Blue Ribbon Sports in Santa Monica into a full-service recovery zone featuring on-site hydration and nutrition, photo ops and recovery tools. It also served as a place for Nike run crews to gather and celebrate not just their times, but their teams. 

Every activation was a success – and every moment delivered what runners needed, right when they needed it most.
