This NFL season, we’re highlighting one of our favorite projects.
Nike West built a strong relationship with the LA Rams during the 2018-2019 season. The relationship led to several events that the bench produced or supported on. The initial event with the Rams was a partnership around the big East Los Angeles Classic where we produced Nike activations at the game as well as several pre-game events for the players, cheerleaders, and students at both high schools.
Our team also worked on Fan Fest, Rams Player Send Offs and an event with Randy’s Donuts, all in celebration of the Rams making it to the Super Bowl.
The East Los Angeles Classic
Nike West tapped the bench to support their LA Rams partnership with locker room takeover events for the East Los Angeles Classic.
Deep-rooted in the heart of the local community, the East Los Angeles Classic is one of the longest standing rivalry games in the country. Featuring James A. Garfield and Theodore Roosevelt High Schools, it draws crowds of up to 25,000 fans every year.

In 2018, the bench partnered with Nike and the LA Rams to design and produce locker room takeover events at each school, provide brand new player uniforms, and facilitate surprise NFL appearances at the big reveals.
LA Rams Super Bowl Fan Fest at Nike East LA
We hosted a pre-Super Bowl fan festival at the Nike East Los Angeles store where Rams players showed up to sign autographs, take photos, and hype up the crowd ahead of their Super Bowl appearance in 2018. There were games, giveaways, food trucks, and different activities for attendees to partake in – all produced and organized by the bench.
Nike at LA Rams Super Bowl Player Send Off
The LA Rams hosted a Player Send Off at the site of their new stadium. With 48 hours notice, the bench produced Nike’s booth, full of branded giveaways and a neon sign photo opportunity.
Nike x LA Rams Randy’s Donuts Super Bowl Takeover
With just two days notice, the bench handled finding a DJ, event staffing, handing out Golden Ticket donuts, t-shirt giveaways, and Nike Member sign ups. The Randy’s Donuts x LA Rams X Nike takeover was a smashing success, with thousands of consumer engagements on site throughout the day and social media posts from influencers like Snoop Dogg, Sk8TheGr8, and Evelyn Sicairos, as well as major media outlets.
By the numbers:
- Total number of consumers: Approx. 3,000 all day; Approx. 1,200 from 2PM-6PM on January 30, 2019
- 447 people checked in through net reg to receive a t-shirt
- Individuals who were not current members needed to sign up prior to receiving the shirt
